It is home to several tribes, including the Hamar, Mursi, Karo, and Dassanech, each with its own unique customs, rituals, and languages. The valley offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in ancient cultures, explore breathtaking landscapes, and connect with local communities.

Our tours are designed to offer an authentic and immersive experience in the Omo Valley. Our tours include visits to remote villages, as well as guided hikes and nature explorations in the stunning landscape of the valley.

Our Omo Valley tours vary in length depending on the package you choose. Most of our tours last between 5 to 10 days, giving you plenty of time to explore the diverse regions of the valley and experience the local culture. We also offer custom itineraries tailored to your specific interests and preferences.

While the Omo Valley tour is not an extreme trekking adventure, some parts of the trip may involve walking or light hiking through uneven terrain. If you’re comfortable with moderate walking and traveling to rural areas, you should be able to enjoy the tour. If you have any health concerns or specific needs, please let us know in advance, and we can adjust the tour to suit you.

Yes, the Omo Valley is generally safe for tourists. However, because it is a remote region with a complex cultural landscape, we recommend traveling with an experienced guide who knows the local tribes and customs. Our guide, Gino, has deep knowledge of the area and strong relationships with local communities, ensuring a safe and respectful experience for all visitors.

It’s important to check with your doctor before traveling to Ethiopia. Some travelers may need vaccinations, such as yellow fever or typhoid, and it’s advisable to take malaria prophylaxis. We recommend visiting a travel clinic for personalized health advice based on your medical history and travel plans.
